New Grinders Offer Lights Out Machining of Saw Blades in Single Operation

The new duo of VOLLMER grinding machines -- the CS 860 and CSF 860 -- are designed for machining carbide-tipped circular sawblades.

The brand new grinding machine CS 860 for tooth faces and tops from Vollmer is designed for machining carbide-tipped circular saw blades with diameters up to 860 mm (34") in a single clamping operation. The CSF 860 is designed for grinding of the tooth sides on circular sawblades.

Thanks to simple control and programming via the touchscreen or keyboard, users can learn how to use the machine in no time. Innovative measuring equipment, handling systems for unmanned machining, as well as the networked data exchange via a standard IoT gateway, automate the production processes for carbide-tipped circular saw blades with various tooth geometries.

Automation for lights out unmanned machining is possible with the Vollmer ND handling systems which can combine up to 3 grinding machines and can be equipped with up to 650 saw blades.
